The Tests
The Department of Psychology of the University of Cagliari, which coordinates the scientific part of the project, will collaborate in the design and development activities of the IREPA software according to theoretical-applicative models and scientific methodologies developed in the field of experimental, clinical-dynamic and of psychometrics, constantly placing the individual at the center of the entire design process (Human Centered Design), the individual intended both as a professional and as a customer of the applications created. As regards the work of selecting the psychological evaluation tests that will be included in the IREPA application, the following phases will be envisioned:
- Analysis, selection and translation activities of cognitive assessment tests for use in iVR environments;
- Practical activities for gathering experimental data in the laboratory both for the software testing phases and for the subsequent validation phase of the selected tests and for the dissemination phase of the results also obtained for the purposes of national and international research collaborations;
- Design activities of the entire experience, analyzing for example how from a psychological point of view people read the current and perceived properties (affordance) of objects which allow them to understand which actions can be performed; the signs and sounds (significant) that suggest when the action can be performed and how it should be performed; feedback systems that allow us to understand which combinations of actions are correct to produce the desired output (developmental, clinical, dynamic and general psychology).
